Job Summary
Senior Staff Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS with Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform), and CI/CD automation. Responsibilities include building and managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads, developing and managing IaC, designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), managing source control workflows, automating tasks with Bash, deploying Kubernetes applications with Helm, maintaining Docker images, implementing autoscaling with Karpenter and KEDA, leveraging messaging systems like Amazon SQS and RabbitMQ, and ensuring system reliability, security, and observability. Collaboration with development, platform, and security teams, plus incident response and continuous improvement initiatives, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
- Expertise in Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows and version control best practices.
- Proficiency in Bash/Shell scripting for automation.
- Experience with Helm for Kubernetes application deployment.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
- Experience implementing workload scaling solutions using Karpenter and KEDA.
- Hands-on experience with messaging and queueing systems such as Amazon SQS and RabbitMQ.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, monitoring, and observability concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
