Job Summary
As the Senior Staff Engineer for Data Center Operations, you will act as the technical architect and strategic advisor to the Director, overseeing operational governance and metrics for AI fleet performance. You will partner with internal teams to develop KPIs, ensure hardware supportability, and lead initiatives for power topology strategy. Your role includes defining Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans, providing expert guidance for documentation, and mentoring senior technicians. Required qualifications include 10+ years in relevant fields, expert knowledge of GPU server architecture, and a proven supportability mindset.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in Data Center Operations, Systems Engineering, or HPC hardware
- Expert-level understanding of x86/GPU server architecture and electrical distribution
- Proven experience in hardware maintenance at scale
- Deep familiarity with high-density AI infrastructure, including current NVIDIA H200 and Blackwell (GB200) systems
- Ability to architect support strategies for transitioning to GB300 and Rubin platforms
- Ability to translate field challenges into technical requirements for Engineering and Fleet teams
- Experience in defining operational KPIs
- Exceptional communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Expert proficiency in defining operational KPIs and building dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Grafana)
- Exceptional ability to distill complex technical risks, ticket-queue trends, and infrastructure hurdles into actionable strategies for senior leadership
- Experience performing Build vs. Buy analyses for technical tools and infrastructure software
