Senior Staff Engineer - Civil/Site

Job Summary
Conduct civil/site design for land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion control. Prepare construction documents, reports, and technical specifications while performing site layout, stormwater management, and utility design calculations. Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to support permit applications and regulatory submissions. Review survey data, zoning requirements, and environmental constraints to ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Assist with construction observation as needed and interpret technical specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in civil/site design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Understanding of local permitting and regulatory processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or on track to obtain
Desired Qualifications
- land development experience
- Familiarity with stormwater design and hydrology/hydraulics software (e.g., HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or similar)
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
- Exposure to municipal, commercial, or residential land development project
