Senior Staff Developer - AI SOC Automation

Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and deploy backend automation systems that enhance Security Operations Center workflows using cloud-native architectures and AI-driven capabilities. Build scalable backend services in Python/Go, leverage AWS services (RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, EKS), and implement detection pipelines, enrichment services, and incident-response playbooks. Drive architectural direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with threat detection, data science, and platform teams to deliver secure, context-aware automation solutions. Apply test-driven development, CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, IaC), and contribute to automation frameworks, AI-powered security workflows, and large language model–powered tooling. Minimum 9+ years of relevant experience; strong experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes/Docker; comfortable operating in security-focused production environments and driving large-scale engineering programs.
Required Qualifications
- 9 or more years of experience in backend software development, infrastructure engineering, or security-focused systems development
- deep expertise in automation design patterns, distributed systems, and cloud-native application architectures
- experience building and operating large-scale production systems using Python, Go, or similar programming languages
- strong experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure
- hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and microservices-based architectures
- experience integrating artificial intelligence or machine learning capabilities into production systems
- strong knowledge of data pipelines, streaming architectures, and security detection workflows
- demonstrated success leading complex technical initiatives and influencing architectural decisions
- ability to independently drive large-scale engineering efforts from design through production deployment
- strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- passion for cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, automation, and engineering excellence
