Job Summary

Own the data foundation under the geocoder, modeling location data to ensure consistency and reliable serving across Scala, Python, and Rust. Build pipelines that integrate commercial and open data sources to expand coverage and quality globally. Integrate LLMs and agents into the data layer for enrichment, labeling, and quality with trust guardrails. Range across the geocoding stack from HorizonDB serving paths to the Node.js/TypeScript API. Drive work powering over 1 billion API calls daily while talking to customers and prospects to incorporate feedback. Most engineers operate in an on-call rotation within the NYC HQ.

Required Qualifications

  • Staff level expertise in one stack
  • Multi-Stack at any level
  • Desire to learn, jump around to different stacks, and get things done
  • Think of yourself as a generalist engineer first, not tied to any particular stack
  • Are interested in talking to customers or prospects and making them successful
  • Are deeply curious about how things work
  • Have the tenacity to sit with hard problems and power through them
  • Must be able to work in our NYC HQ
  • Must be able to work over 1 Billion API calls / day
  • Talk to Radar customers and prospects, hear their feedback, incorporate it into your work and make them successful

Desired Qualifications

  • Are a former technical co-founder
  • Have worked on a high throughput, high growth SaaS application
  • Have worked on geospatial infrastructure
  • Have built large-scale data pipelines or data-integration systems
  • Have used LLMs in a data or ML pipeline (enrichment, labeling, or evaluation)
