Job Summary
The Senior Staff Analyst in Data Analytics is responsible for managing requirements gathering on quality measures, tracking project status, and maintaining project plans. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills along with experience in project management and business analysis within a Data & Analytics unit. Essential functions include leading agile project management efforts, developing project plans in Smartsheet, preparing project status reports, and facilitating stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in SQL-based data structures, have proficiency in using project management tools, and be able to produce well-structured reports and strategic recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field
- Five years of experience in business analysis, project management, or program management
- Experience leading requirements-gathering sessions
- Experience defining business rules and measures
- Advanced knowledge of Transact-SQL and query optimization
- Strong analytical skills with ability to perform root cause analysis,
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using agile methodologies
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, or similar project management tools
- Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Microsoft Fabric
- Proficiency in cloud-based data processing using notebooks, PySpark, and ETL frameworks
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, including C# or similar languages
- Exposure to data science and AI/ML modeling concepts
