Job Summary

Senior/Staff Analog Design Engineer responsible for developing advanced mixed-signal solutions from specification to production. Lead design integration and ensure robust interaction across system- and block-level implementations, oversee layout collaboration, and drive post-layout simulations and optimization for performance, area, and power. Hands-on silicon validation, lab evaluation, and debug to enable successful bring-up and learning, with ongoing post-silicon activities including validation and production testing. Apply strong CMOS analog/mixed-signal circuit design expertise, control theory, and experience with modeling/simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink, LTspice) to deliver high-performance, low-power designs across multiple technology nodes. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful product delivery from concept through mass production, while adhering to reliability considerations and ESD/latch-up protection. This role is based in Edinburgh, UK, and requires in-person collaboration with layout and test teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with proven relevant industry experience
  • Strong understanding of analog design flows, including architecture definition, circuit design, and chip integration
  • Proven expertise in CMOS analog and mixed-signal circuit design for low-power, high-performance applications
  • Solid knowledge of control theory applied to circuit and system design
  • Strong understanding of inductive and/or capacitive power converters
  • Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and LTspice
  • Experience designing across multiple CMOS processes
  • Good understanding of reliability considerations, device physics, parasitics, and ESD/latch-up protection
  • Practical lab experience including silicon bring-up, testing, and debugging using standard measurement equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
