Senior Staff Accountant

Job Summary
Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements while maintaining the general ledger and ensuring GAAP compliance. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, analyze financial data to investigate variances, and support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities. Partner with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes through special projects and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers a hybrid schedule in Downtown Indianapolis with a salary range of $90-100K for a candidate with 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP/accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Desired Qualifications
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Experience in a professional services environment
- Experience with month-end close, financial analysis, and audit preparation
