Job Summary
Conduct monthly financial closings, assist with accounting procedures, and prepare financial statements for audit, review, and compilation engagements. Liaise with audit firms during audit preparation and answer accounting questions by researching and interpreting data. Develop and maintain client relationships while managing GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles compliance. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, 1-2 years of public accounting experience, and proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks. This hybrid role in New York City offers three days in-office and two days remote, with travel to national and international clients possible. Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree with a focus in accounting
- A minimum of 1-2 years of public accounting experience
- An understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
- Meets deadlines, prioritize appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
- Self-directed and self-motivated
- Highly organized and efficient
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator
- Three days in the office, two days remote
- Traveling to clients nationally and internationally is possible but not required
