Job Summary
Administer and manage daily accounting function activities at the facility, including supervising payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Prepare financial statements for the client and corporate entity, analyze information for reports, and verify general ledger coding accuracy. Direct installation and maintenance of accounting records, establish system controls for new financial systems, and coordinate external audit materials. Assist in internal audits, develop procedures to improve existing systems, and prepare statements of estimated future costs and revenues.
Required Qualifications
- B. S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
- At least 3 to 5 years' experience in public accounting and/or financial management as a Senior Staff Accountant
- Acute attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of general and accrual accounting
- Excellent math skills
- High aptitude for problem solving
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational ability
- Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information
- Curiosity and resourcefulness
- Ability to work both autonomously and interdependently
- Desire to learn and grow
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
- Ability to work irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays on occasion
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines

- Close vision for review of statistical and other financial records and information
- Must be available for weekend shifts
