Job Summary
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for leases and fixed assets, including preparation and review of journal entries, roll-forwards, and variance analysis. Account for lease-related balances and the full fixed asset lifecycle, from capitalization and depreciation to impairment reviews and disposals. Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, investigate reconciling items, and support internal and external audit requests with timely documentation. Coordinate with procurement, facilities, legal, FP&A, and controllership teams to validate business changes and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and local standards. Drive process improvements and standardization across asset and lease accounting workflows while maintaining strong documentation and control adherence.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- at least 2 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS / local GAAP requirements
- practical application in fixed asset and lease accounting
- Experience in fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, or both
- exposure to asset lifecycle accounting and reconciliations
- Proficiency in accounting systems
- Oracle NetSuite
- advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- High attention to detail
- good organizational and time management skills
