Job Summary
Senior Staff Accountant at Granville Homes responsible for GAAP-based financial reporting, general ledger integrity, month-end close, job costing for land development and vertical construction, and profitability analysis. The role partners with Construction, Purchasing, Land Development, and Operations to improve cost visibility and controls, oversees WIP reporting, inventory valuation, and cost allocations, and supports budgeting, forecasting, audits, and ERP-related improvements. CPA designation or candidacy strongly preferred; requires a four-year accounting degree and 5+ years of related experience. This is a full-time position based in Fresno, CA, with standard business hours and local travel.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree (Bachelor’s degree) in accounting required
- CPA designation or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 5+ related accounting experience
- experience in multi-entity consolidations
- strong cost accounting and financial reporting experience
- experience with job costing, inventory accounting, and WIP reporting
- experience supporting purchasing, procurement, land development, or construction operations
- experience with project costing, community-level profitability analysis, and cost allocation methodologies
- experience supporting residential homebuilding operations
- knowledge of lot inventory management and land development cost tracking
- experience analyzing community-level profitability and construction margins
- experience working closely with Purchasing and Land Development departments to support operational decision-making
