Senior Staff Accountant

Job Summary
Make recommendations based on analysis of reserves, assets, and expenditures. Assist with financial and tax audits, document internal controls, and prepare multi-state sales and use tax returns ensuring compliance with regulations. Coordinate complex accounting projects, analyze financial reports, review journal entries for accuracy, and perform variance analyses and account reconciliations. Maintain the general ledger and prepare financial reports while training and mentoring junior staff. This full-time role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed to meet deadlines. Candidates must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, travel between office locations, and lift up to 30 pounds. Strong verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from a four-year recognized university
- 3+ years of accounting experience related to the job description
- Solid understanding of financial statements and GAAP
- Experience with multi-state sales and use tax compliance
- Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable working in a team environment
- Advanced Excel skills to manipulate large data files to perform various analysis using VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLE, INDEX, MATCH, and etc.
- Experience with Dynamics GP
- Experience with MS Word
- Experience with Outlook
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Adequate visual and auditory abilities (with or without aids)
- This full-time role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Candidates must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
- Candidates must be able to travel between office locations (including those with stairs)
- Candidates must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
