Job Summary

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while overseeing general ledger activities and ensuring accurate journal entries. Reconcile sub-ledger, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet accounts to support external audits and regulatory reporting for Medicare/Medicaid cost reports. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis while collaborating with facility administrators to monitor financial performance. Supervise junior accounting staff and provide mentorship as needed to implement best practices in accounting operations. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare finance, particularly in long-term care or skilled nursing environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • financial modeling capabilities
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

Desired Qualifications
