Senior SQL Engineer - Risk Reporting

Job Summary
Implement SQL-based risk logic for trading risk calculations, including base, semantic, and reporting data layers with complex transformations and performance tuning. Collaborate with business analysts, technical leads, and engineering teams to translate business intent into robust designs while managing technical debt and architectural decisions across ingestion pipelines, OpenSearch, and .NET/React interfaces. Ensure data correctness for positions, exposures, pricing, and P&L outputs across end-of-day and reporting use cases, supporting release planning and production readiness. Own the delivery of a trusted, enterprise-grade risk reporting platform for internal users.
Required Qualifications
- Hands on SQL implementation
- Implementation of SQL-based risk logic, including base, semantic, and reporting data layers, with primary hands-on responsibility for complex transformations and performance tuning
- Strong collaboration with other SQL developers, data engineers, and full stack engineers, ensuring alignment across ingestion, data layers, APIs, and user interfaces
- Ensures consistency and correctness of positions, exposures, pricing, and P&L outputs across end-of-day and reporting use cases
- Reviews architectural decisions across database, data ingestion pipelines, OpenSearch, and .NET/React-based UI and API layers
- Partners closely with the Senior Business Analyst, Domain Modeler, Technical Lead to translate business requirements into implementable technical designs, providing feasibility assessment and technical guidance
- Identifies, assesses, and proactively manages technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and technical debt to protect platform stability and long-term maintainability
- Supports release planning, cutovers, and production readiness, ensuring data availability, performance validation, and operational stability
