Job Summary
Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server environments while ensuring performance, security, and reliability standards are met. Provide support for upgrades, assessments, and migrations; offer expert advice to stakeholders on database management. Conduct daily monitoring of the database estate, perform troubleshooting and resolution of issues, and implement security best practices. Manage new database builds, upgrades, and server migrations; execute backups, restores, and patching of service packs and cumulative updates. Monitor storage resources and maintenance plans using DBA tools for deployment tasks. This project-based assignment involves 6 months with auto-renew in a CET ± 3 hours timezone, requiring 5+ years of SQL DBA experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in SQL Database Administration
- Experience managing and monitoring replicated SQL databases
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with business continuity strategies related to database systems
- Proficiency in creating stored procedures, views, and functions
