Job Summary
Senior Sprinkler Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, repairing, and testing fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Ensure systems function properly to protect life and property; maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs; stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations; collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot issues. Requires knowledge of building codes, strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in fire sprinkler system installation and maintenance preferred
- Experience working in a similar role as a sprinkler system technician
- Must meet one of the following to obtain Illinois Inspector License: NICET: Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems (Level III); ASSE: 15010-Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems; NFPA: Water-Based Inspection, Testing and Maintenance (WBITM); Proof of satisfactory completion of a Certified Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship Program approved by the U.S. Department of Labor
