Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer at Red Bull IT who owns the platform architecture and drives the technical roadmap for the SDP. Lead architect and key builder responsible for designing scalable data solutions, guiding external partners, translating stakeholder needs into actionable roadmaps, and evolving core data systems (pipelines, processing frameworks, and platform services) to meet enterprise readiness. Collaborates with data science and analytics teams, product management, and business leaders to ensure transparent communication of platform capabilities, constraints, and trade-offs, while steering delivery of strategic initiatives with measurable engineering metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a data engineering role
- Fluent English skills, preferably fluent German skills
- Strong Partnership and Collaboration Skills with stakeholders across regions and sports
- Expert-Level Technical Skills in data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and data warehousing
- Proven Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience, especially BigQuery
- Experience with governance, policies, and oversight in data science/data engineering
- Bonus: experience with dbt, Dagster, Terraform
