Job Summary
Conduct assessments, manage complex caseloads, and deliver tailored therapy programs across clinic, home, and school settings for children aged 0-16. Develop goal plans, implement intervention strategies, and adjust programs based on progress monitoring. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychology and other health professionals, to achieve optimal client outcomes. Maintain strict adherence to privacy, confidentiality, and current best practices while documenting all activities within 24 hours. Complete initial appointments, prepare resources, and conduct school visits as required. Align therapy plans with available funding and NDIS requirements to support accurate invoicing. Participate in team meetings, peer reviews, and case discussions to support early career clinicians and contribute to continuous service improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Speech Pathology
- Registration with AHPRA
- Registration with SPA
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current Drivers' Licence and vehicle
- Current Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People Registration (state specific)
- National Police Check
- Accredited First Aid Certificate
- Demonstrated experience delivering high quality evidence-based and goal-focused therapeutic intervention in an early intervention and/ or paediatric allied health setting
- Demonstrated senior clinical knowledge with significant experience in relevant discipline
- Demonstrated ability to engage with a range of children and families and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience mentoring, supervising and/or supporting others of the same discipline (including supervision of graduates and/ or allied health students)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional observational and report writing skills
- Ability to work independently within and collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
- Comply with and promote policies relating to WHS, emergency procedures, child safety, and cultural competence
- Participate in risk identification, assessment, and prevention activities
- Maintain discipline-specific registration/membership and adhere to relevant codes of conduct
- Uphold privacy and confidentiality in line with organisational policy and legislation
