Job Summary
Conduct evaluations, develop written treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatments to improve patient functional status in conjunction with overall treatment objectives. Adhere to clinical, organizational, and position requirements defined in Speech Therapy policies for Scope of Practice and Professional Standards. Maintain California Speech Language Pathologist licensure, American Heart Association BLS certification, and required continuing education. Requires Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Therapy, four years of combined rehab, acute, and outpatient experience, plus two years in specialty practice areas. Works 8-hour day shifts as per diem at St. Joseph Hospital Eureka.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Speech Therapy; graduation from accredited college or university.
- Master's Degree in Speech Therapy; graduation from accredited college or university.
- Continue continuing education requirements for licensure renewal.
- California Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 4 years of experience combined rehab, acute and outpatient proficiency.
- 2 years of experience in the specialty practice areas.
