Job Summary
Develop relationships with leading collectors and investors to secure major consignments of rare wine and spirits for auction and private sale. Provide tailored advice on building collections, represent the firm at industry tastings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on pre-sale activities and auction days. Conduct appraisals for auction, private sale, and advisory purposes while working with warehouse partners to inspect, assess, and catalogue inventory lots. Maintain deep knowledge of global trends in collectible fine wine and rare spirits to expand the department's reach.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor's degree
- Relationships with established dealers and collectors in the field
- Proven experience in the specialty field and/or in the auction industry
- Strong written and verbal communication and networking skills
- Detail-oriented, well-organized individual
- Ability to prioritize and meet strict scheduled deadlines
- Familiar with MS application
- Ability to travel as necessary
