Senior Specialist, Volunteer Engagement

Job Summary
Lead and supervise volunteers, providing expertise and guidance on volunteer engagement programs, tools, processes, and systems. Develop and execute engagement and retention strategies, conduct volunteer needs assessments, and align goals with stakeholder needs. Train and lead volunteer leaders, coordinate onboarding and training, and manage screening and referral of prospective volunteers. Serve as a liaison to internal partners and external organizations, monitor volunteer satisfaction data, and recognize volunteer contributions through formal and informal events. Travel may be involved. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, plus proficiency with MS Office, are required to effectively implement volunteer programs and support a large volunteer workforce.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Volunteer Management experience preferred
