Job Summary
Senior Specialist – Technology Risk Management to join Nasdaq's Group Risk Management team. Focused on delivering practical risk oversight and assessment capabilities across Nasdaq’s technology landscape, including cloud modernization (AWS), AI governance, digital assets/blockchain, and operational resilience. Supports risk assessments (System Risk Assessments, Risk and Control Self-Assessments), development of risk metrics and dashboards, and governance reporting. Collaborates with product engineering, infrastructure, and risk stakeholders to provide actionable risk mentorship and effective challenge on controls throughout the product development lifecycle. Emphasizes cloud migration risks, AI/data risk considerations, and governance aligned with regulatory expectations. Represents an individual contributor role with opportunities to build deep technology risk expertise across regulated financial services environments.
Required Qualifications
- MSc, BSc or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 8-10 years of technology risk, IT risk, cyber risk, operational risk, audit, or engineering / infrastructure roles within a technology-driven environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Knowledge of risk assessment, control evaluation, and governance activities
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-relevant risk insights
- Effective communication and collaboration across global teams
