Job Summary
Senior Specialist- Strategic Sourcing role focusing on sourcing value for lower spend tactical purchases across Canadian, Corporate, and IT spend categories. Develop and implement sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, drive Total Cost of Ownership improvements, manage procurement budgets and KPIs, lead cross-functional teams through the sourcing process, ensure governance and compliance, and leverage data analytics for informed decision-making. Requires 10+ years in sourcing/procurement, expertise in contract negotiations, SAP Ariba familiarity, and strong stakeholder management; English communication and project-management capabilities are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years relevant sourcing/procurement experience
- Hands on experience around data collection, cleansing and data analysis
- Proven and extensive expertise leading sourcing initiatives, processes and developing strategies (i.e. deal management, contract review and negotiations etc.)
- Proven skills and ability to work with internal stakeholders to drive the process
- Comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty
- Familiarity with vendor contract language, SAP Ariba Contracts and Sourcing Modules
- Understanding of general procurement challenges and solutions
- Proven ability to work with internal legal counsel and other governance stakeholders such as IT security, compliance, etc.
