Senior Specialist – Setup Mechanic

Job Summary
Lead packaging equipment setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and maintenance on the production floor to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant packaging operations. Analyze in-process packaging data, investigate equipment and packaging events, and participate in root cause investigations to reduce variability and improve performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through review of procedures, change controls, deviation investigations, and packaging enhancements. Serve as a technical mentor and lead trainer for operators and team members, providing coverage for operational leadership as needed. Promote compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and GMP requirements while coaching others on best practices. Strong packaging equipment troubleshooting skills and mechanical/electrical maintenance expertise with solid GMP understanding are required; experience with thermoforming, cartoning, vacuum systems, labeling systems, and vision systems is a plus; familiarity with PI Historian, Veeva, DeltaV, SAP CMMS, and basic Microsoft Office applications is advantageous. Travel minimal (<5%) for training and equipment factory acceptance testing; Location: Clinton Laboratories – Clinton, IN; Schedule: 12-hour rotating swing shift (nights/days) with potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in a Technical discipline preferred.
