Job Summary
Senior Specialist, Sales Engineering responsible for providing technical leadership across the sales lifecycle, mapping merchant requirements to Checkout.com’s APIs and products, running demos and POCs, creating solution designs and internal documentation, leading all technical interactions with merchants, and acting as a product champion for ANZ leads. Candidate should be able to communicate effectively with technical (developers, product) and business (payments, finance, c-level) stakeholders, translate technical jargon into layman terms, and stay up-to-date with industry standards (APIs, PSD2/PSR, 3DS, tokenisation, fraud prevention). The role requires prior experience in a technical client-facing capacity, collaboration with Sales, and a strong commercial focus.”,
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect / Pre-Sales Consultant / Implementation Engineer or TAM
- Experience in a technical client-facing role
- Ability to translate technical jargon into layman terms
- Experience with API-based integration methods (REST/JSON APIs) and related tools (Postman)
- Experience with front-end (JavaScript, React, Angular) and back-end (Java, .NET, Python, Node) technologies
- Ability to run demos, build POCs, and create solution designs and internal documentation
- Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders
- Familiarity with payments industry and related regulations (PSD2/PSR) and fraud risk concepts
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
