Job Summary
Design evaluation tools, conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection from the field, and perform data analysis to generate actionable insights for operations teams. Liaise with state teams to negotiate data protocols, synthesize outcome analyses for external stakeholders, and support grant writing and proposal development. Disseminate research findings through publications and seminars while refining evaluation frameworks based on secondary research and literature reviews. This role operates within the Monitoring, Evaluation and Research function for the Shiksha program, which has impacted nearly 4.7 million learners across 10 Indian states.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree (PhD,M.A, M.Sc, etc) from a UGC recognised University (ongoing or completed)
- Undergraduate degree (B.A, B.Sc, etc) from a UGC recognized university plus equivalent work experience
- Highly creative and entrepreneurial
- Location: Bangalore
Desired Qualifications
- Methodological expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies
- Relevant experience in program evaluation
- Previous experience in evaluating programs in Education
- Strong conceptual training in any domain of the social sciences
- Expertise in education and learning theory
- Proficiency and previous experience with designing evaluation frameworks
- Quantitative expertise in tool design and validation
- Previous experience in working with projects at scale
- Technical expertise in R, SPSS, Python, or other statistical analysis package
- Previous experience in disseminating research findings for a broader audience
- Comfort in working with the MS Suite and G Suite range of platforms
- Good oral and written communication
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of people
