Job Summary

Identify, develop, and evaluate information research services and products that meet member and customer needs. Lead planning and implementation of Resource Center activities, including document delivery, database testing, and archival preservation. Develop and maintain electronic information initiatives, content, and taxonomy for aha.org. Train and supervise personnel while implementing quality and service improvement initiatives. Communicate with internal and external audiences using innovative print, verbal, and visual techniques to support marketing and user training. Work independently to contribute to Data Strategy and RC strategic mission goals. This hybrid role offers three days in the office and two days remote.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Information/Library Sciences or related field
  • 5+ years Experience in a research role within a library, information services or research services organization
  • Advanced knowledge of health care field and key/core health care information resources
  • In-depth knowledge of key library operations such as document delivery, copyright, permissions and other functions
  • Knowledge of library marketing and effective communication/promotion techniques
  • Advanced computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills
  • Advanced literature searching and internet research skills
  • Advanced experience creating reports for customers and senior leaders
  • Data analytics experience
  • Experience with interactive data visualization software, such as Tableau
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels, and exhibiting sincerity, confidence, diplomacy, maturity and professionalism
  • Ability to appropriately balance and prioritize multiple activities and projects, meet time frames as defined and deliver desired outcomes
  • Ability to anticipate problems and develop solutions; plan organize, coordinate and direct work processes independently
  • Ability to take initiative; possess commitment and willingness to extend to get the job done
  • Proven ability establishing positive working relationships with co-workers and works cooperatively with peers and leadership
  • Ability to be positive, innovative, resourceful, flexible in responding to changing demands and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging environment
  • Ability to help AHA members move toward the AHA vision of creating a society of healthy communities
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate, analyze, synthesize, and communicate data and information on a broad range of topics related to health services administration
  • Flexible hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two days working remotely
