Job Summary
The Senior Specialist, Production Planning is responsible for developing and optimizing production schedules to ensure on-time, high-quality manufacturing. The role involves creating daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on forecasts and sales orders, optimizing resource use (labor, machinery, materials), and adjusting plans for demand changes or downtime. Responsibilities include inventory management of semi-finished and finished goods, coordinating with Procurement to ensure timely raw material delivery, and conducting regular stock checks. The position requires cross-functional coordination with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics, plus ongoing data analysis to identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements. The candidate should drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are met. Strong ERP/MRP (SAP) and data-analysis skills, lean manufacturing knowledge, and fluency in English and Korean are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power Point)
- Language skill: English, Korean
