Job Summary
Senior Specialist, Procure to Pay in Europe based in Basel, Switzerland, focusing on end-to-end accounts payable and P2P operations across European entities. Responsible for vendor onboarding, PO/invoice processing, approvals, and payments; VAT filings; month-end close support; and internal controls. Develops and enforces procure-to-pay policies, supports automation and standardization initiatives, collaborates with vendors and internal stakeholders, and ensures compliance with local statutory and tax requirements under US GAAP. Requires multi-entity, multi-currency AP experience, ERP/P2P/T&E expertise (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Coupa, Concur), and strong communication skills in English; German is a plus. The role is hybrid in Basel, Switzerland, reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounts Payable Europe.
Required Qualifications
- EFZ/CFC or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years accounts payable experience across multiple European countries and currencies
- Strong understanding of PO, invoice, expense, and payment workflows
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Coupa, Concur or similar ERP/P2P/T&E systems
- Fluency in English; additional European languages a plus
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced computer skills with MS Office
