Senior Specialist - LightSpray Footwear Developer

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end creation of SMUs and special projects, managing multiple initiatives from initial strategy through product sign-off. Execute root-cause analysis on tooling, molding, and assembly challenges while developing new materials, colors, and specifications. Act as primary liaison between Zurich and Vietnam hubs, aligning prototyping timelines and coordinating complexity through PLM with Asia partners. Collaborate with computational designers, sourcing, and product management to ensure seasonal calendars meet business needs and critical milestones. Maintain high autonomy to navigate ambiguity and drive development timelines independently.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in footwear development
- Knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes, including tooling, molding, injecting, welding, lasting, and assembly
- A natural technical curiosity and a robust, root-cause analysis approach to problem-solving
- In-depth, demonstrated knowledge of advanced footwear materials, their properties, and performance characteristics
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- A demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
- Comfortable and proficient with industrial machinery and hands-on prototyping
- High levels of English language proficiency
- Ability to travel up to 10-15% of the time
