Job Summary
Senior Specialist Legal Editor in Practical Law will research, write, and maintain clear, current, and practical corporate and M&A content with a Private Equity focus; review and edit content written by others; stay up to date on market developments; support development of AI-powered legal solutions; build relationships with lawyers and industry groups; and collaborate with product, sales, marketing, and technology teams to reflect current market practice in governance, structuring, and deal documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) with current license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction
- 8+ years of sponsor-side Private Equity lawyer experience in law firm or in-house
- experience advising PE sponsors, portfolio companies, co-investors, and lenders on acquisitions/dispositions, governance, and exits
- drafting/editing SPAs, merger agreements, stock/asset purchase agreements, LLC/LP agreements
- familiarity with LBO structures, fund economics, and private fund formation (preferred)
- ability to write clearly and concisely about legal practice and use AI tools in legal work
- collaborative and independent work ability
- willingness to take a writing test as part of the selection process
