Job Summary
Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts under Czech law, including vendor, partner restaurant, and service agreements. Serve as the go-to expert for the local HR team to structure, streamline, and remediate internal processes while mitigating legal risks. Provide hands-on guidance on gig-economy and platform worker topics specific to the Czech market. Partner with business operations to deliver pragmatic compliance strategies that enable innovation without stifling growth. Develop standardized local templates for commercial agreements and employment policies, and engage in resolving commercial and labor disputes. Full professional proficiency in Czech and English is required. Master's degree in Law from a Czech university and at least three years of experience in a corporate generalist legal role are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Law from a Czech university (Mgr.)
- At least 3 years of experience in a Legal Counsel or Attorney/Associate role, ideally as a corporate generalist with a heavy focus on Czech Employment/Labor Law, or an employment lawyer with strong commercial contract experience
- Full professional proficiency in Czech and English (both written and spoken)
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of balancing legal risks with operational speed, business goals, and bottom-line results
- You are resilient and possess a proven ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations, effectively guiding both business and HR teams toward operational excellence
- You love delivering solutions and think out of the box to solve legal obstacles, with a track record of 'cleaning up' legacy processes and implementing robust, scalable frameworks
- You have deep expertise in navigating Czech labor regulations
- You work independently, assertively, and collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly commercial, and unstructured environment
- You are able to anticipate business needs, push back when necessary, and drive compliance initiatives forward without stifling innovation
Desired Qualifications
- Prior in-house experience in the food delivery, e-commerce, gig-economy, or fast-moving logistics sector within the CEE region
- Experience with translating and implementing global corporate policies into local Czech operations
- Experience communicating with Czech regulatory bodies
