Job Summary
Improve Fund Accounting's daily and monthly processes for South African priced Hedge Funds by implementing automation, robotics, and AI to standardize workflows. Serve as the primary liaison with ICT regarding application development and manage end-to-end project delivery, including testing and implementation. Provide solutions for complex client requirements involving engagement, investigation, and testing while analyzing problems to solve them effectively using process automation. Establish and manage relationships with clients and system developers to drive continuous process improvement within the division.
Required Qualifications
- 4-5 years working with financial data in an investment space
- Strong understanding of investment product knowledge
- Strong understanding of Financial Markets, instruments and systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency in process automation
- Advanced level experience in using Excel, InvestOne and other related systems
- Proven competence and an aptitude for working with systems such as Copilot for business
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Confident, enthusiastic and self-motivated
- A track record of achievement
- Ability to Identify problems and solve effectively using process automation
- Ability to Analyze and solve problems
- Ability to Assist in process improvement
- Ability to Establish and manage relationships
- Ability to Liaise with clients and system developers
- Experience with the various fund types either locally or internationally
- Ability to Improve Fund Accounting's daily and monthly processes and using automation, robotics, AI and other technology
- Ability to assist with bespoke processes and the standardization of Fund Accounting processes
- Ability to enable automation of processing volumes for all SA priced funds
- Ability to be primary liaison with ICT regarding applications used by Fund Accounting and development requirements
- Ability to Manage project delivery including end-to-end testing and implementation
Desired Qualifications
- A qualification in Accounting, Data science or data analytics is preferred (B.com)
