Job Summary

Senior Specialist for Field Safety will function as the safety champion, assisting local leadership in incident prevention and regulatory compliance for National Grid employees, contractors, and the public. Responsibilities include building relationships with local management and unions, serving as a subject matter expert on safety policies and incident-prevention techniques, conducting site visits to assess culture and safety, responding to safety issues from the field, developing and delivering safety leadership sessions and formal training, participating in safety committees and incident analysis processes, and analyzing incident trends to inform local safety plans. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of occupational safety experience, 3+ years of utility work experience, and a valid driver’s license; CSP/ASP/CHST/OHST/OSHA 30 certifications are preferred. Salary range: $107,000–$120,000 per year.
