Job Summary
Senior Specialist, Data Architect role focused on design, development, and global rollout of enterprise analytics solutions on modern data platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into data models and interfaces, and ensure SDLC adherence. Develop and review data pipelines, canonical data models, and governed data architectures; support testing (SIT/UAT), data quality validation, and post-go-live activities. Contribute to ERP modernization efforts and downstream reporting impacts; work within a diverse, globally distributed team and leverage experience across data architecture, analytics engineering, and ERP domains to deliver secure, scalable analytics for finance and corporate stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise data, analytics, and reporting solutions in complex environments
- Experience supporting ERP/finance data domains (e.g., record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay) and translating business processes into analytical needs
- Strong data architecture and data modeling skills (conceptual/logical/physical modeling; dimensional modeling; normalization vs. denormalization)
- Practical experience designing data integration patterns (batch/ELT/ETL, CDC, API/event-based) and defining interface contracts
- Proficiency with SQL and hands-on experience implementing transformations, reusable semantic layers, and performance-optimized datasets
- Experience with modern data platforms and tooling (cloud data warehouses/lakes, orchestration, metadata/catalog capabilities)
- Solid understanding of data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and controls required for regulated environments
- Experience contributing to ERP modernization or migration programs and managing downstream analytics impacts
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional, multicultural team environment
- Very good communication skills and ability to support multiple initiatives in a regulated pharma environment
- Programming/scripting for data engineering (e.g., Python)
- Common enterprise BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, BusinessObjects)
- Semantic/metrics layers and self-service analytics enablement
