Job Summary
Senior Specialist, Community Volunteer Engagement leads and grows regional volunteer capacity, designs new volunteer opportunities, and directly engages volunteers in assigned jurisdictions while supporting volunteer specialists across the region. Responsibilities include engaging volunteers for episodic/event-based opportunities, coordinating Home Fire Campaign activities, overseeing veteran programs at regional facilities, liaising with program leads, managing volunteer workforce systems, designing non-traditional volunteer opportunities, and providing matrixed supervision to volunteer teams. Preferred qualifications emphasize volunteer management experience, recruitment, training, collaboration, strong written/verbal communication, presentation skills, relationship-building, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Travel may be involved; no relocation assistance is offered. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of related experience.
