Job Summary
Senior SOX Manager – IT leads IT controls for the SOX program, owning ITGC/ITAC, designing controls over financial reporting, and ensuring alignment with COSO/PCAOB standards. Partners with Engineering-aligned associates to embed control understanding within engineering teams, bridging audits and engineering reality. Responsibilities include identifying IT process risks, evaluating controls (access, change, operations), coordinating remediation with IT/Finance, collaborating with internal/external auditors, performing risk assessments, identifying automation opportunities, overseeing testing and reporting to SOX leadership and the Audit Committee, and driving program alignment across Engineering, Finance, and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field; relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CPA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in IT audit, SOX compliance, or risk management with a focus on IT controls
- Deep knowledge of SOX 404, COSO framework, COBIT principles, IT security, and risk management practices
- Hands-on experience with IT controls domains including access management, change management, and disaster recovery
- Experience working with embedded or liaison roles between compliance and engineering functions
- Ability to earn trust of engineering teams and communicate technical risks to engineers, senior executives, and audit committees
Desired Qualifications

- Advanced degree (MBA, MIS, or equivalent) is a plus
- Experience managing IT SOX efforts for ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Workday
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience in embedded or liaison role between compliance and engineering functions
