Job Summary
Senior Sous Chef responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating; ensuring food quality and presentation; managing kitchen staff (hiring, training, scheduling); conducting 1:1 meetings and staff inductions; training to company standards; supervising food safety and sanitation; managing inventory and supplies; maintaining and repairing equipment; collaborating with restaurant management to ensure timely service; handling customer feedback; maintaining a respectful, calm team environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2 year’s experience in a similar role
- Team management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks
- A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction
