Job Summary
Lead procurement activities for production materials supporting LKZ plant operations and ensure timely, cost-effective procurement aligned with locomotive assembly schedules. Collaborate with suppliers to confirm order accuracy, delivery timelines, and compliance with technical specifications and Wabtec policies. Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support uninterrupted production; track, analyze, and report procurement KPIs (cost savings, delivery performance, supplier quality); assist in supplier evaluation, onboarding, and ongoing performance reviews; maintain procurement records within ERP systems; participate in ongoing procurement planning with internal teams to support operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field from an accredited university
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, or related roles
- Fluent English skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Legal authorization to work in Kazakhstan
