Job Summary
Senior Sourcing Specialist to procure mechanical/industrial commodities in a Bethlehem, PA-based facility. Responsible for procurement, materials delivery, supplier quality and cost, quoting, negotiating and placing orders; implementing cost-saving strategies; expediting open orders; managing non-conformances and supplier chargebacks; performing supplier tooling inventory and reconciling on-site tools; initiating supplier improvement meetings to improve quality and manufacturability; attending new order kickoff meetings; managing terms and conditions with suppliers; and leveraging experience in QMS/ISO 9001 to support supplier development across machining, fabrication, coatings, tooling, and turbine services. Must read and interpret engineered mechanical drawings, excel/word proficiency, and be able to travel to vendors as needed. 40+ hours per week typical; office and shop environment with potential for evenings/weekends; valid driver’s license and ability to pass background/drug tests; English proficiency; authorized to work in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with QMS principles and ISO 9001
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Procurement, Quality ISO & Approved Supplier List procedures
- Contract negotiations & order placement
- Supplier development strategies
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher education in business or related field
- CPM Certification a plus
- 5+ years experience in Purchasing, Materials Management and planning
- Experience procuring, expediting and managing Raw Material, Machining and grinding processes, Fabrications, MRO, Stampings, Engraving, Pipe and fittings as well as many other industrial items.
