Job Summary

Provide a safe and effective ultrasound service to women and neonates through independent application of clinical expertise. Deliver advanced clinical, technical, and operational advice to radiologists and clinicians within your scope of competency. Prioritise workload according to hospital procedures, patient severity, and clinical urgency. Offer high-level clinical supervision and training to team members and trainees as delegated. This part-time role (0.4 FTE) is based at the Royal Women's Hospital in Parkville, with shifts on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Required Qualifications

  • Registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) without limitations
  • Post-graduate Diploma Medical Ultrasound from recognised tertiary training institution
  • Completed at least two years of clinical ultrasound experience and is at a supervisory level
  • Demonstrated performance excellence (with positive feedback) in patient- and family-centred care approach
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical imaging knowledge and skills for complex ultrasound imaging of women and neonates
  • Satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Vaccinated against, or demonstrate immunity to, COVID-19, influenza, and a range of other diseases
  • Part time (0.4 FTE)
  • Wednesday and Friday availability
