Job Summary
Senior Solutions Engineer at Kong responsible for helping drive new business, evangelizing Kong API Management technology, onboarding and training customers, and establishing revenue potential with existing accounts. You will support field sales, understand customer requirements, assist with PoCs, ensure customer satisfaction, coordinate with support/product/engineering teams, create technical documentation for DevOps and implementations, and perform additional tasks as needed. Ideal candidates have solid cloud computing knowledge, open source experience, and strong communication skills; bonus points for Docker, Linux, CI/CD, Kubernetes, DCOS/Mesos, and Docker Swarm familiarity. Remote-friendly with multiple locations in France and Paris area.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years software engineer and/or sales engineer management experience at SAAS, Open Source or Enterprise Software company.
- Strong listening and communication skills with ability to lead discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Executives.
- Experience with open source technology and knowledge of NGINX, Docker, HTTP, AWS, Postgres, and Cassandra.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Docker.
- Fluent working on Linux OSes.
- Familiarity with CD/CI pipeline.
- Any knowledge on Kubernetes, DCOS/Mesos and Docker Swarm is a plus.
