Senior Solutions Engineer

Job Summary
Design, implement, and sustain custom test solutions by collaborating with customers, NI staff, external partners, and suppliers. Lead project technical deliverables and architect systems, workflows, and architectures using NI and ecosystem tools to enable future business outcomes. Mentor junior engineers, review work quality, and provide training in ADAS, VSE, EV Power Conversion, and Electronics spaces. Work with Project Managers to identify risks and propose efficient technical solutions for complex challenges. Requires BS degree in EE or CS, 2+ years in SW development or test measurements, and 25% travel availability. Hybrid work setup includes one day per week remote.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in SW Development, system integration, and/or test and measurements industry
- Demonstrated ability to use one or more programming languages (LabVIEW, C#, C++, Python, etc.) in software design and implementation
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and experience working directly with customers, engineers, and business partners
- Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced, changing, and ambitious environment
- Problem-solve effectively - diagnose technical issues and propose effective solutions
- Take initiative, be a self-starter, and work independently
- Persistently drive tasks and lead projects to successful completion
- Quickly learn applicable technology, systems, and products
- Familiarity with NI products and platforms
- Availability to travel 25% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of Automotive communication networks and protocols
- Good knowledge of ADAS ECUs and sensors like camera, RADAR, LiDAR, Ultrasonic, etc.
- Experience with industry best practices for designing to meet standards, safety, and certification for high-power panel design
- Experience in LabVIEW, TestStand, VeriStand, LabVIEW RT/FPGA, and PXI/cRIO platforms, as well as text-based languages like C/C++ and Python
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
