Job Summary
Senior Solutions Architect in the East region of the United States responsible for guiding technical discovery, evaluations, and adoption of GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform. You will own complex technical evaluations (workshops, proofs of value, and documentation for tenders/audits), develop end-to-end strategies to expand platform adoption across accounts, collaborate with regional sales teams to align technical strategy with customer priorities, advise on modern software development, CI/CD, security, cloud adoption, and drive competitive positioning. You’ll mentor other Solutions Architects, contribute to technical collateral, share field insights with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, and help customers realize multi-year transformation milestones while representing the voice of the customer to internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or related roles guiding solution design, technical evaluations, and adoption planning
- Ability to solve complex customer issues including integration challenges and cross-functional scenarios
- Knowledge of end-to-end software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, security, and cloud concepts
- Hands-on familiarity with GitLab or similar source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms
- Experience facilitating workshops, leading proofs of concept/value exercises, and contributing to technical assessments, audits, or tender responses
- Strong communication skills for tailoring messages to practitioners, leaders, and executives
- Relationship-building with a customer-focused approach and ability to advocate for customer requirements internally
- Interest in continuous learning, mentoring, and applying transferable experience to deepen expertise in GitLab, AI, and DevSecOps
