Job Summary
Senior Sales Engineer for Observe by Snowflake based in the UK, responsible for driving technical closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating the value of Observe to prospective customers. Responsibilities include in-depth technical discovery with prospects, designing and delivering product demonstrations, managing Proofs of Concepts, partnering with Account Executives to develop technical sales strategies, providing customer feedback to product teams, creating and maintaining technical sales collateral and delivering training to the sales organization, and traveling to client sites and industry events as required. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent, 5+ years in software sales engineering or solutions architecture, strong observability knowledge (metrics, logging, tracing) and tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK), and cloud-native experience (Kubernetes, Docker, microservices) with AWS/Azure/GCP. Preferred: experience selling to Developer/DevOps/SRE personas; prior experience in fast-paced Observability/APM companies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect in the software industry
- Deep technical understanding of Observability concepts (metrics, logging, tracing) and tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK)
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
