Senior Solution Engineer - Industry Focus (m/f/x)

Job Summary
Senior Solution Engineer for industry-focused verticals (CPG & Retail, Discrete Manufacturing & Automotive, Process Manufacturing, Healthcare & Utilities). You are the technical voice for your vertical, partnering with Account Executives to translate industry challenges (supply chain resilience, reporting, carbon management, product compliance, asset operations, track-and-trace) into a concrete osapiens HUB solution scope. Design and deliver vertical-tailored demonstrations built on realistic industry scenarios and KPIs; own end-to-end proofs-of-concept anchored in the industry’s value drivers; navigate integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems; own RFPs/RFIs and IT-Integration topics; contribute to product strategy with industry insights; mentor junior SEs and help scale the function. Requirements include 4+ years in solution engineering or related field, strong technical fluency (REST APIs, SAP, SSO, cloud architecture), ability to map regulatory/operational pain to ROI/TCO, excellent German and English communication, willingness to travel EU-wide (25–35%), and based in Munich or Mannheim or willing to relocate. Bonus points for domain expertise in Supplier Intelligence, Carbon Accounting, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Coupa, ServiceNow, and prior leadership in SE enablement.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in solution engineering, presales, consulting (tech focused) or sales engineering for B2B enterprise SaaS
- Strong technical fluency: REST APIs, SAP, identity management (SSO), cloud architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and basic data modeling
- Excellent communication in German and English; additional European language a plus
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) Munich or Mannheim, with willingness to travel ~25–35% across the EU
- Experience owning end-to-end deals including POCs and security reviews; comfortable with deal sizes north of €250K
