Job Summary
Senior Solution Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards to support reporting, system configuration, and integrations. The role splits 50% reporting work—collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, writing queries and reports (Power BI, SQL), automating report generation, ensuring data quality, and developing ETL processes—and 50% system administration/engineering—designing and supporting interfaces and workflows within the HRIS, coordinating with third-party vendors, maintaining employee/client-facing self-service tools, building APIs, and ensuring scalable, performant solutions. Requires strong MS T-SQL skills, Power BI expertise, data integration/ETL capabilities, API and systems integration experience, excellent communication, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. The role is primarily office-based with potential for remote/home-office work.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or equivalent experience
- Solid database/SQL knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to design solutions to solve business problems
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, query writing, troubleshooting, and relational database concepts
- Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and related reporting tools
- Data extraction, transformation, loading, and automation processes to deliver reliable reporting and system outputs
- API design support, vendor integrations, and data exchange requirements across platforms
- Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Documentation and process improvement
- Collaboration with IT, operations, vendors, and stakeholders
