Job Summary
Support, maintain, and optimize critical enterprise applications while collaborating with external providers and cross-functional teams. Design, develop, test, and enhance solutions using AWS technologies, leading the migration of legacy applications to AWS cloud environments. Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, drive CI/CD and automation adoption, and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability. Contribute to development standards and architectural patterns across the organization. This office-based role in Calgary requires a full-time, 40-hour week with occasional site visits.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience developing and supporting Full stack applications
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL, Dynamo DB, AWS (Glue Jobs, Lambda), Python, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps
- Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., GitHub) and CI/CD practices, Terraform
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a continuous learning mindset
- This is an office-based role
- You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday with occasional site visits
