Job Summary
Own the solution and system architecture for cross-team platform initiatives, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions for Java/Spring Boot microservices and Angular applications. Design architectures balancing scalability, resilience, security, and cost efficiency while defining cloud infrastructure requirements on AWS and Kubernetes. Lead architectural initiatives including platform modernization, migrations, and proofs of concept, providing guidance to engineering teams and conducting architecture reviews. Act as a trusted sparring partner for the Head of Platform Architecture and Product Owners to make key technology decisions. Mentor engineers and support Sales by designing customer-specific solution concepts for enterprise clients.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification
- 8+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering within Java Enterprise/Spring environments
- at least 5 years of experience as a Software or Solution Architect designing distributed, cloud-native systems
- Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud-native architectures, ideally on AWS
- strong knowledge of Kubernetes, microservices, APIs, and modern software architecture principles
- Strong understanding of software quality, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability in SaaS environments
- Proven ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives such as architecture redesigns, platform migrations, or large integration projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and make sustainable technology decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to different audiences
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
